SECANE PIZZA was established in 1966 by Philip Bottos and John Kokalis, Greek immigrants who came to this country to pursue the ‘American Dream.’ With hard work and dedication, they became a staple pizza shop in the community selling their original “Pan Pizza” and “Hot Oven Grinders.” They made their original “Pan Pizza” from fresh dough made daily, a special blend of cheese and sauce served in two plates in a bag. Hot oven grinders and a hoagie baked in the oven were also on the menu and a popular item. It wasn’t uncommon to see “Phil & John” working hard, greeting and thanking their customers. Lines were out the door on a Friday pizza night! Customers called in, picked up or had their order delivered. “Phil and John” employed many local residents in the community over the years as cashiers, cooks and drivers and taught them good work ethics.

In 1985, Phil’s son Ted took over the business in the original location, expanded the menu and continued to use the same family recipe and finest ingredients to make our original “Pan Pizza” consistent. Ted worked hard to continue his father’s legacy. In 2006, Ted moved Secane Pizza into the shopping center behind the original store location to a bigger storefront where customers could now dine in!

Today Ted, his wife Renee and dedicated staff are proud to be celebrating 50 years serving 3rd and 4th generations of loyal customers! Even customers that have moved away still visit when they are in the area to bring home their favorite pizza. We have asked our customers, “What keeps you coming back?” Most reply, “Still tastes the same just like when your Dad made it.” In addition to our original “Pan Pizza,” our menu includes: grinder, steaks, hoagies, strombolis, salads, wraps, hot wings, burgers, and side orders. You can dine in, take out, or have your order delivered. We are proud to serve you and generations to come!

In honor of our 50th Anniversary, April 9, 2016
was formally declared SECANE PIZZA DAY
